It seems like every day a new article or news segment reports that Americans are experiencing overwhelm in our personal lives and burnout in our professional lives. We are flooded on a regular basis with messages about strife, suffering, and interpersonal conflict. What can you do to comfort and nurture yourself? And what can you do to contribute to a nurturing and compassionate work environment?
This fall, a two-session workshop series about building and maintaining a culture of compassion in the workplace will be offered by Charlie Johnson and Janice Bankert-Countryman. Both Charlie and Janice have extensive experience coaching individuals and groups in creating empowering practices and habits. The first 90-minute session will focus on defining “compassion” and introducing frameworks for compassionate living. The second 90-minute session will provide space for reflecting, asking questions, and designing next steps. These two workshops will take place on Zoom and will include break-out and whole-audience opportunities for dialogue.
