Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Professional Development, and Diversity @IU School of Medicine
Megan M. Palmer PhD, is associate dean of the Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. Dr. Palmer is also vice chair for education and faculty development and associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the IU School of Medicine. Further, Megan is an associate professor of higher education in the IU School of Education – Indianapolis. In her associate dean position, Megan supports faculty in teaching, promotion and tenure, orientation, work–life integration, and other aspects of faculty life.
Emily C. Walvoord, MD
Associate Dean for Student Affairs @IU School of Medicine
As the Associate Dean for Student Affairs for the IU School of Medicine (IUSM), Dr. Walvoord oversees the enhanced statewide delivery and continuous improvement in the areas of academic advising and career mentoring, wellness, and development of a new student success program, among other services, at all nine campuses. Prior to moving into her student affairs role, Dr. Walvoord was an assistant dean for faculty affairs and professional development and an associate program director for the pediatric residency program at IUSM.
